What can we do to get out of this economic crisis? In a recent Business Week article, the author argues that now is the time to look for opportunities. Perhaps it's a new market, a new product or reinventing the way you do business.

Whatever it is, hunkering down and waiting it out doesn't seem to be the best strategy. We all have a choice: Be ruled by our circumstances or use the circumstances to our advantage.

Federal Usury Cap

Last week, U.S. Senator Dick Durbin introduced S.500 to the Senate. This bill would place a 36% A.P.R. cap on consumer loans.

This could dramatically affect consumer lending in this country as many deferred presentment, title and consumer finance lenders offer loan products that exceed this cap.
